15.04.11 - Movement and ATIC Records present KEEP ON THE GRASS
Movement & ATIC Records present 'Keep On The Grass' - it's with great pleasure that we can announce the first of this years free summer parties! Set once again in the stunning surrounds of Barrow's park gardens and bandstand, it all kicks off on 24th April (Easter Sunday), and runs from noon 'till we turn the turntables off.. Featuring resident DJ's Aim, Gripper, Ad Bickerdike, Kid Cagoule and Peter Kay spinning their usual sun-kissed soundtrack of soul, funk, hip-hop, beats and breaks, this 100% un-funded and independent event is free for all - see you there!!!
14.04.11 - Niko - 5th Annual Chill Out Festival, Dubai
On April 8th Aim and Niko flew out to Dubai to perform at the 5th Annual Chill Out Festival, venue - the gorgeous Nassimi Beach on Dubai's Palm Island. Aim took the opportunity of a sunset set to drop some super chilled beats (Crowhead's 'ECM' - 'nuff said) before getting into his usual mix of hip-hop, house and gay disco. Niko stole the show however, performing tracks from her soon-come second album, 'A Message From The Border'. Also on the bill were Royksopp, Erikah Badu and The Cinematic Orchestra. Props to Ohm Records for putting on such a fresh festival and thanks to Satyen, Salah, Nik, Justin, Adam and everyone else involved for looking after us.
17.01.11 - ATIC Records at 2011 Meadowlands Festival!
We're thrilled to report that ATIC Records is taking charge of the Saturday Club Night at the 2011 Meadowlands Festival . Set in the stunning gardens of Glynde Place , an Elizebethan Manor House four miles from Lewes and 20 mins from Brighton, the festival runs from Friday 27th May through Sunday 29th and early bird tickets are on sale now. Please note - this is a boutique festival and numbers are limited so don't hang about. DJ's for the night will be Aim, Crowhead and Mikey D.O.N. (Krispy), Manc legend MC Kwasi will host, and Niko will debut tracks from her new album... we can't wait!

It's that time again - on June 27th ATIC's Aim and Gripper along with Ad Bickerdike of Movement plus special guest Funkmaster Moon bring their mix of soul, funk, disco and whatever else they feel like playing to Barrow's Park Bandstand. Set in the park's gorgeous gardens, it's a wonderful way to wile away a lazy, hazy Sunday afternoon so get your blankets out and pack the pork pies. Fingers crossed for a scorcher... 20.04.10 - Classic Album - Aim 'Cold Water Music' in Future Music

In this months issue of FUTURE MUSIC (April 2010). Aim's debut 'Cold Water Music' has been featured as a 'CLASSIC ALBUM' with a 4 page article by Roy Spencer. Including an exclusive interview, history told from the man himself, stories behind each track on the album, influences and favorite albums, and a look at Aim's studio today. Originally released on Grand Central in 1999, and re-released on ATIC in 2004, 'Cold Water Music' has stood the test of time and remains as relevant today as the day it was released a decade ago.
